Resize Application Photos to Standard Sizes
Prepare photos at generic 35 × 45 mm, 2 × 2 inch or 25 × 35 mm sizes. Set DPI and a KB limit, then check the receiving form’s actual requirements.
Prepare a photo from the actual form requirements
Read the receiving form’s current instructions for dimensions, file type, size and whether a live photo is required. Select a matching generic size, DPI and maximum KB. These presets are not verified requirements for any exam or passport authority.
Worked example and checks
A 35 × 45 mm preset at 300 DPI produces approximately 413 × 531 pixels. The photo is centre-cropped to the chosen shape. Check that facial features remain inside the frame and that the output meets the form’s minimum as well as maximum size.
Why can’t the tool reach my KB target?
This tool preserves the calculated dimensions. If the target cannot be reached through JPEG quality alone, it reports an error. Lower DPI only when the receiving form permits fewer pixels; otherwise increase the size allowance if permitted.
